INFORMATION SYSTEM TECHNICIAN (Position based in Abidjan)

The jobholder has primary responsibility and responsible for maintaining documentation for the following:


• Rollout of company’s standard desktop image to CDI PCs (onshore and offshore) as required;
• Rollout of additional applications to CDI PC systems using appropriate tools or manually;
• Liaise with and provide assistance to the company’s staff to log and resolve IT issues;
• 2nd line local IS technical support to the company’s users based in CDI locations (onshore and offshore); including support of Windows and UNIX systems software and hardware;
• Work with traditional PABX and IPT switch to provide access to telephone comms for CDI users;
• Support of line of sight, routers, switches and satellite comms systems in use within CDI in support of office and offshore installations;
• Support CDI users in the use of videoconferencing equipment;
• Assist IS staff in satellite communication systems installation and fault diagnosis.

Educated to at least BAC+2/3 or equivalent in Network / Telecommunications / Computing; you possessed a good mastering of the Microsoft Suite Office, Cisco Certified Network Administrator qualification or an equivalent also.
With effective English communication skills, both verbal and written, you have an excellent knowledge of working with the TCP/IP protocol set and DHCP.
Then you have ability to prioritize work effectively in order to work to deadlines, able to establish and maintain good working relationships with IS department staff, contractors and visitors.
